  Ongoing Projects/Targets

 We are awaiting news on our application to get funding to build bicycle sheds in the school grounds. we hope this will encourage pupils to ride their bikes to school and improve traffic congestion around the school site. We thank Linda Beagan for her help during this application process.

The children are maintaining the school grounds by collecting the litter around the yard and the paths. Each year group gets an opportunity by following a rota. This has earnt us an award from the Conwy Estuary Lions Club.

The School Council has recently visited Venue Cymru to learn about the Childrens Commissioner for Wales.

Achievements

The School Council has

    *    Bought a new bin for each classroom specifically for the recycling of paper.

    *    Raised funds to buy a new bin for the school grounds. It has been placed near the infants entrance/exit.

    *    Established a rota for litter picking around the school grounds and bought litter pickers from funds raised.

    *    Atteneded a fair Trade conference and introduced the whole school to the concept of fair trade.
