Location:Ysgol Porth y Felin is situated in the small town of Conwy in North Wales. The town lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty flanked one one side by the river Conwy and on the other by the foothills of Snowdonia.

History:
Ysgol Porth y Felin opened in November 1998 following the amalgamation of Conwy's three infant and junior schools. Pupils of the old Bodlondeb, Cadnant and Gyffin schools moved to a new purpose-built establishment. The school is named after the Mill Gate in Conwy's town walls, which is prominent on the school badge. The mill from which the gate gets its name is also represented on the emblem in the form of the water wheel.
